All you need to know about Mankind Pharma IPO

Mankind Pharma's IPO opens for subscription today and will close on April 27 with the price band set at rupees 1,026-1,080 per share.

The public offering comprises a pure OFS of 40,058,844 equity shares by the promoters and other existing shareholders, at a face value of rupee 1 per equity share.


The offer is being made through the book-building process, with 15% of the offer available to non-institutional investors and 35% of the offer available to retail individual investors.


The objectives of the offer are to carry out the offer for sale by the selling shareholders and list the equity shares on the stock exchanges.


Mankind Pharma Ltd. is a leading player in the Indian pharma market, with 97% of its revenue from India, and 36 brands including Manforce and Prega News.

Ahead of its IPO, 1.2 crore equity shares have been allocated to 77 anchor investors at rupee 1,080 per share.


Most brokerages have advised subscribing to the issue, citing market leadership, brand recognition, financial performance and strong distribution network.


Risks to consider include government price control reforms, competition in the generic segment, and high regulation of the industry.
