The majority of the crypto tokens were trading with gain on Tuesday admit light trading. Bitcoin, the world's favourite cryptocurrency rose over 3 percent and was trading at $21,132.

Smaller cryptocurrencies, which tend to move in tandem with bitcoin, also gain. Ether, the second largest token in terms of market capitalization, jumped more than 2.55 percent to $1,154.

At the same time, other meme tokens like Solana and polkadot witnessed massive jumps by surging 7 percent to hit $37, and 4 percent rise to touch $8.07, respectively. Also, Shiba Inu rose 14 percent to $0.000009 and Solano rose 7.55 percent to $37.83, according to CoinDesk data at 16:00 IST.

The global crypto market cap stays above $927 billion, a 2.90 percent increase over the last day. The total crypto market volume over the last 24 hours is $74.66B, which makes a 7.17 percent decrease. Out of a total market cap, bitcoin's dominance is 43 percent, an increase of 0.05 percent over the day, as per CoinMarketCap data.

Meanwhile, despite the immense popularity of cryptocurrencies and crypto-trading in India, users in the country are still falling for high profile scams. Researchers at security firm CloudSEK have unearthed a new scam called CoinEgg, which defrauded as much as 10 billion [ 1,000 crore] from users in the country.
