(PTI) Gold prices tumbled 710 to 60,970 per 10 grams in the national capital on Friday amid weak global cues, according to HDFC Securities.

The yellow metal had settled at 61,680 per 10 grams in the previous trade.

Silver also plummeted 2,690 to 73,445 per kg.

"Gold prices in the Delhi markets traded at 60,970 per 10 grams, down 710 per 10 grams," Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst - Commodities at HDFC Securities, said.

In the overseas market, gold and silver were quoting lower at USD 2,009 per ounce and USD 24.10 per ounce, respectively.
