Shares of ITI Limited extended their rally for a second consecutive session on Tuesday, jumping 15.80% to hit a new all-time high at ₹172.9 apiece, surpassing their previous record high of ₹164.90, which was achieved in October 2017. This surge follows a remarkable 20% gain in the preceding trading session, driven by the company's new product launch.
The company, in a regulatory filing on Monday, said it has developed a branded laptop and micro-PC under the brand name 'SMAASH'. These products were designed in collaboration with Intel Corporation.
The products have already been deployed in the market, and the company said it has won many tenders competing against MNC brands like Acer, HP, Dell, and Lenovo.
"ITI Limited’s Micro PC, a green solution product, does the computation like any other PC with a very low carbon footprint and considerably reduces e-waste. It consumes less power as compared to conventional PCs, is of small size, has no moving parts like fan, and has a long life. In essence, SMAASH products save electricity, cost, and workspace."
"More than twelve thousand 'SMAASH' PCs have been deployed and are successfully performing at various customer sites. SMAASH PCs come in variants like i3, i5, i7, and so on. One of the solutions that ITI Limited offers is the SMAASH PC with solar solutions. The SMAASH PCs are highly compatible with solar solutions since they take DC input," the company said.
Further, the company said that 'SMAASH' products have acquired all the statutory certifications such as BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), ROHS Restriction of Hazardous Substances, BEE (Bureau of Energy Efficiency), CE European Conformity, and FCC (Federal Communication Commission). It also stated that 'SMAASH' laptops and PCs are designed and manufactured for consistent performance.
