Maruti Suzuki reported a 26% increase in its domestic sales to 1,47,072 units in October as against 1,17,013 units in the year-ago period. Sales of mini-segment cars, comprising Alto and S-Presso, grew to 24,936 units in the last month as against 21,831 units in October 2021.
For the September-ending quarter, Maruti Suzuki reported a four-fold jump in its net profit to  <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>2,112.5 crore as against a net profit of  <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>486.9 crore in the year-ago period.
