Which is a better AC stock for long term between Voltas and Blue Star?

The stocks of air conditioner companies are in focus as the IMD forecasts a strong summer with 'above normal' temperatures across India. 

Blue Star has seen a 28 percent rise in the last 1 year while Voltas has shed 37 percent in the same period.


Blue Star has gained over 260 percent from its 2020 low and is currently trading at 1,473.85.


 Voltas has surged nearly 85 percent from its 2020 low and is currently trading at 823.50.


Blue Star reported a 22.79 percent rise in net profit in the December quarter and Voltas reported a net loss. 

Blue Star is better positioned compared to Voltas and expects to reach 15 percent market share by FY25.


Voltas is growing faster than Blue Star and is trading at a lower valuation.


While both companies are driven by similar factors, Blue Star has a strong and growing market share and Voltas has a strong legacy of innovation.
