WhiteOak Capital Mutual Fund today announced the launch of its Balanced Advantage Fund (BAF), a new fund offer (NFO), which will be accessible from January 20 and will remain open till February 3.
This open-ended dynamic asset allocation strategy invests in equities (65-100 percent), arbitrage (0-50 percent), debt/cash (0-35 percent), and net equities with a weight between 30 percent and 80 percent. The performance of this NFO is benchmarked against Crisil Hybrid 50+50 - Moderate Index.
Prateek Pant, Chief Business Officer, WhiteOak Capital Mutual Fund, said, "Our latest fund will provide an asset allocation solution for investors to take benefit of market volatility. WhiteOak Capital AMC aims to help financialization of assets across the country, especially in B30 locations."
WhiteOak Capital BAF aims to eliminate investors' psychological barriers of greed and fear, the mutual funds house said.
"The fund will deploy a proprietary market valuation index to decide net equity levels. It will allocate higher into equities when the equity market valuations are low and lower when the equity market valuations are high. Thus, the strategy aims to safeguard the portfolio from overall market volatility and retaining the potential for generating higher return," it said.
Basically, the product's goal is to serve a traditional fixed deposit client or a typical instrument investor who wanted to participate in stocks but did not want a higher level of volatility in returns.
The proprietary model will offer general guidance on the range of market asset allocation opportunities and relative valuation levels. The endeavor is to deliver a better investing experience over a full market cycle by reducing downside during a falling market, providing reasonable participation in a rising market, added the MF house.
