With the war seemingly far from over, many Indians are now inquiring if the nominees of people who lost their lives would receive the insurance amount.

The effectiveness of your life insurance policy in a crisis is determined by your residency status, cause of death and type of policy.

Indian life insurance companies sell insurance plans to both resident and non-resident Indians. 

If the policyholder dies with the same residency status, the insurance will continue to be valid. 

If your residency status changes in the middle of a policy year, you must notify the insurance company.

Personal accidental insurance may be ineffective if the death occurs in a war zone. War, invasion, and hostilities are common exclusions.
