The Mumbai-based insurer rolled out a new health insurance policy recently known as ‘FG Health Elite’ that enables customers to get a tailored plan that offers maximum coverage and a world of exclusive benefits.

This policy enables policy holders to get access to premium healthcare services that are non-existent in standard health insurance plans.

This plan has a number of unique features. Among other things, it offers a higher sum insured than standard plans. It also offers comprehensive coverage that pays for global treatments, OPD expenses, home visits, air ambulance. Besides, the plan covers up to 15 family members with family floater.

As it also offers holistic coverage, the plan focusses on mental as well as physical health. The premiums paid on the plan are exempt from income taxes.

This medical insurance policy entails pre and post hospitalisation expenses, domiciliary hospitalisation expenses, maternity expenses, inpatient treatment, day care treatment, road ambulance charges, and several other facilities:

Some of the key provisions include:

Maternity expenses: The policy covers all child delivery expenses including pre and post-natal expenses.

New born baby: The plan takes care of new born baby’s expenses relating to hospitalisation from the day of birth up to 91 days.

Vaccination: The coverage includes child's vaccination expenses up to 12 years of age.

Dental consultations: The plan partially covers (up to 70 percent) of dental consultations.

Out-patient medical expenses (medications): The coverage also entails outpatient medical expenses (prescribed medications up to 80 percent). The plan also covers expenses that do not require a hospital stay or admission.

Alternative treatments: If policy holders want to opt for some alternative treatment, then one can get it covered as well such as Unani, Ayurveda, Siddha and homeopathy.

Global treatment: The policy covers costs in treatment abroad — which includes critical illnesses, return airfare and emergencies (while excluding the USA and Canada).

Organ donor: The policy enables policyholders to cover the organ donor's treatment costs.
