The State Bank of India, the largest public sector bank in India, has introduced two new toll-free lines to aid with its financial services and give its customers a smooth experience. As a result, SBI clients would no longer need to visit their different branches to complete various banking-related tasks and worry about receiving financial services any more, not even on Sundays.

The highest number of clients of any institution, 44 crore, would receive seamless banking services through the SBI's two new toll-free lines, 1800 1234 and 1800 2100. "Put an end to all of your financial concerns! Call SBI Contact Centre toll-free at 1800 1234 OR 1800 2100", the bank stated in a tweet dated June 26, Sunday. Customers of SBI will be now able to call these numbers whenever they want from the convenience of their current location and from any location. As a result, travelling to the branch to obtain services can be avoided, saving time and effort. It is also convenient for individuals who lack the digital literacy necessary to access online or app services.

What different services are available with this toll-free number?

  • Customers will be able to use SBI financial services around-the-clock, including Sundays and public holidays.
  • Members of SBI can view their most recent five transactions and check their account balance by calling the SBI toll-free lines 1800 1234 and 1800 2100.
  • They may also check the status of their ATM card restriction and card dispatch.
  • Customers can obtain a new ATM card if they have blocked the old one for any personal reason by calling the SBI toll-free number and checking the dispatch status of their cheque books. Customers may also receive their deposit interest certificate and DS information by email through this toll free number.

Toll free numbers are accessible from all landlines and mobile phones in the country," it says. “SBI now provides your Account Balance and Transaction details over the phone round the clock. Information on deposits & loan schemes and services also available", according to the website's second remark.
