Coal lndia Limited is an India-based coal mining company. The Company is mainly engaged in mining and production of coal and also operates coal washeries. Its product offerings include Coking Coal, Semi Coking Coal, Non-Coking Coal, Washed and Beneficiated Coal, Middlings, Rejects, Coal Fines/Coke Fines, CIL Coke / LTC Coke and Tar/Heavy Oil/Light Oil/Soft Pitch. Its Coking Coal products are used in steel making and metallurgical industries. Its Semi Coking Coal products are used as blend-able coal in steel making, merchant coke manufacturing and other metallurgical industries. Its Non-Coking Coal products are used as thermal grade coal for power generation and also used for cement, fertilizer, glass, ceramic, paper, chemical and brick manufacturing, and for other heating purposes. Its Washed and Beneficiated Coal is used in manufacturing of hard coke for steel making.
