Gold drops rupees 160, silver gains rupees 360 on May 26, 2023
Gold prices declined by rupees 160 to rupees 60,080 per 10 grams in the national capital on Friday.
Silver prices, however, climbed by rupees 360 to rupees 72,500 per kilogramme.
The decline in gold prices occurred due to weak global trends.
Spot gold prices in the Delhi markets traded at rupees 60,080 per 10 grams.
The precious metal had ended at rupees 60,240 per 10 grams in the previous trading session.
Gold prices edged lower in Asian trading hours on Friday.
The US Fed officials advocated more action to curb inflation, diminishing expectations that the central bank's tightening campaign has ended.
Overseas, gold was quoting lower at USD 1,953 per ounce, while silver was trading higher at USD 23.10 per ounce.
