On September 21, Hurun, the world’s largest rich list provider, released the Hurun India Rich List's 11th anniversary edition in collaboration with IIFL Wealth. Notably, 1,103 people have worth of $1 billion or more, an increase of 96 over the previous year. Here's a list of top 10 Individuals.

Gautam Adani, the richest man in India and the second-richest person in the world, now has a net worth of Rs. 10.94 lakh crore. In the last year, he has increased his daily earning by more than Rs. 1,600 crore. In the past two years, all of the stocks of the firms in the Adani Group have enjoyed a dream run on the stock markets, with some of them rising more than 1000 percent.

Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries and the second-richest person in India, saw an 11% increase in fortune over the previous year. According to the report, his fortune is estimated to be over 7.94 lakh crore and has grown by 115% over the previous five years. Despite an 11% increase in fortune, Ambani lost the top spot for the first time in ten years.

The world's leading vaccine expert, Cyrus Poonawalla, is ranked third. Cyrus Poonawalla shot up to third place on the list by adding 41700 crore and recording a total fortune of 2.05 lakh crore. He serves as the chairman and managing director of the Cyrus Poonawalla Group, which comprises the Serum Institute of India, the largest maker of vaccines in the world and a biotech firm based in India. He is placed first on the Hurun Global Health Care Rich List for 2022.

HCL Technologies' Shiv Nadar dropped one position to to the fourth slot as his fortune fell by 21% to 1.85 lakh crore. Nadar is regarded as one of the country's pioneers in the computer and IT fields. Additionally, the multibillionaire founded and serves as chairman of the Shiv Nadar Foundation. In July 2020, he resigned as chairman of HCL Tech and gave the role to his daughter Roshni Nadar Malhotra.

The fifth richest person in India is stock market trader-turned-investor Radhakishan Damani, who also owns the retail chain Avenue Supermarts. Damani's fortune has climbed by 280%, or 1,28,800 crore, during the past five years. The 67-year-old business entrepreneur from Mumbai climbed up two spots to reach the fifth place on the wealthy list with a net worth of 1.75 lakh crore.

Vinod Shantilal Adani, the older brother of Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, is now the richest NRI (non-resident Indian). He is a director of Trident Trade and Investment Private Ltd. In the previous five years, his wealth has grown by 850 percent, from 151,200 billion to 169,000 billion, and he has moved up two spots to take the sixth spot among India's top 10 richest people.

Srichand Parmanand Hinduja, a billionaire businessman, investor, and philanthropist who was born in India and now resides in Britain, is ranked number seven on this list. He serves as the chairman and largest stakeholder of the Hinduja Group of Companies. Along with his brother Gopichand Hinduja, he is regarded as the second-richest person in the United Kingdom.

Lakshmi Mittal, who holds the eighth spot on the list, is the chairman of ArcelorMittal, the largest steel and mining business in the world by revenue with $76.6 billion in sales. Aditya Mittal took over as CEO from Mittal in January 2021, however Mittal is still the company's executive chairman. In June 2022, the Sunday Times UK Rich list ranked steel magnate LN Mittal as the sixth-richest person in the United Kingdom.

Dilip Shanghvi, the creator of Sun Pharmaceuticals and a recipient of the Padma Shree award, is presently in ninth place. Two-thirds of his business's $4.5 billion in yearly revenue—the most valuable listed pharmaceutical company in India—comes from foreign markets. He expanded Sun through a series of buyouts, the largest of which being the $4 billion acquisition of the scandal-tainted Ranbaxy Laboratories in 2014.

Uday Suresh Kotak, a billionaire Indian banker who serves as the executive vice chairman and managing director of Kotak Mahindra Bank, is now ranked tenth. .
