Company Description

The Sandur Manganese and Iron Ores Limited is an India-based integrated and diversified commodity producer. It is engaged in the mining of manganese and iron ores in Deogiri village of Sandur taluk, Bellary District, Karnataka. The Company is also engaged in the manufacturing of ferroalloys and coke located at Vyasanakere, Hospet. Its segments consist of Mining, Ferroalloys, and Coke and energy. The Company's Mining segment is engaged in the mining of manganese ore and iron ore, which is engaged in semi-mechanized manganese ore mining operations and fully mechanized iron ore mining operations. The Ferroalloys segment is engaged in the production of ferromanganese, ferrosilicon, Silicomanganese and ferrochrome. The Company has approximately four coke oven batteries with a cumulative capacity of 0.4 million tons per annum (MTPA), and two waste heat recovery boilers (WHRB) with a cumulative capacity of 30 megawatt (MW). Its subsidiary is Sandur Pellets Private Limited.
