New Delhi, Sep 1 (PTI) Gold prices on Thursday fell by 184 to 50,230 per 10 gram in futures trade as speculators reduced their positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for October delivery traded lower by 184 or 0.36 per cent at 50,230 per 10 gram in a business turnover of 12,561 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in gold prices to the trimming of positions by participants.

Globally, gold was trading 0.53 per cent lower at USD 1,717 per ounce in New York. PTI SHW ANU ANU
