Piramal Pharma soars 13% on robust Q4 show

Shares of Piramal Pharma surged 13 percent on Thursday following its Q4FY23 results.

The company reported a net profit of 50 crore in Q4FY23 compared to a net loss of 90 crore in the previous quarter (Q3FY23).

Revenue for the quarter rose 26 percent to 2,146 crore compared to 1,716 crore in the December quarter.

EBITDA margin for Q4FY23 came in at 17 percent, up from 10 percent in the previous quarter.

In FY23, the company posted a net loss of 186 crore and total revenue rose 7 percent to 7,306 crore.

The stock has been on a downward trend since it made its debut on the stock exchanges in October last year.

The stock has tanked 63 percent till date from its listing price and has shed 35 percent YTD in 2023.

The stock hit its 52-week high of rupees 201.80 on October 19, 2022, (its listing day) and a 52-week low of rupees 63.13 on March 28, 2023.

The stock has seen some recovery since April, rising 16 percent in May so far.
