Up 1069% from IPO price; DMart to jump another 40% in 1 year

Avenue Supermarts, which owns the supermarket chain D-Mart, has been a consistent outperformer since listing.

From its IPO price of rupees 299, the stock has surged as much as 1069% to rupees 3,496.10 till April 10, 2023. 

Meanwhile, from its listing price of rupees 641, on March 21, 2017, the stock has jumped 445%.

However, in the last 1 year as well as in 2023 YTD, the stock has shed around 15% each. 

Post the recent correction, brokerage Prabhudas Lilladher sees a 40% upside in the stock in the next 1 year.

The brokerage has a ‘buy’ call on the stock and has raised target price to rupees 4,699 from rupees 4,675 earlier.

PL is positive on D’Mart as it has increased city presence to 22, reduced delivery time to 1 day with a reduction in delivery charges.

It believes attractive prices and better consumer proposition than Big Basket will enable it to turn EBIDTA positive by FY25 & PAT positive by FY27.
