Evaluating the returns of a mutual fund is imperative to assess its overall performance. Aside from this, there are other factors that induce investors to invest in a fund scheme. These include reputation of a mutual fund house, past performance of fund managers, category of fund i.e., active or passive, among others.

Here we shed light on the performance of top-performing flexi cap funds, particularly in the past five years. At the outset, however, we explain what exactly are flexi-cap funds:

What are flexi cap funds? These are mutual fund schemes that invest in companies across the market capitalisation spectrum, i.e., small cap, mid-cap and large-cap stocks.

These funds enable investors to diversify their investment portfolio in the companies of different size, thus helping them mitigate risk and lower volatility.
