“It will be an open-ended fund that will invest in a portfolio of companies that supply materials, products and services that go into building a house. This is an opportunity to potentially create wealth for your future by investing in companies whose products you purchase. This is also an opportunity to invest in high quality consumer facing businesses that benefit from the India story,” said Tejas Gutka, fund manager.

There are three fund managers of the scheme: Tejas Gutka, Venkat Samala and Murthy Nagarajan.

Under the housing theme, there are a total of 307 stocks with 27 in large cap category, 34 in the mid-cap and 228 in the small cap. The benchmark of fund will be Nifty Housing Index (TRI).

However, if the withdrawal amount is more than 12 percent of the original cost of investment, then there will be one percent exit load.

At the same time, there will, again, be no exit load when redemption/ switch out or systematic withdrawal plan happens after an expiry of 365 days from the date of allotment.

The AMC says that the fund aims to offer a portfolio of businesses that benefit from the real estate cycle. The fund focusses on businesses that are better quality compared to pure-play real estate companies.
