A step-by-step guide on 
how to claim unclaimed shares and dividends on IEPF Authority's website

IEPF stands for Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority. 

It holds money and shares that were unclaimed by the shareholders.


It has the responsibility of giving the shares and dividend to their rightful owners. 

Filling in the IEPF-5 webform is the first step to reclaim shares from IEPF.

Acknowledgement will be sent to the claimant with an SRN. 

All the requisite documents including indemnity bond and IEPF-5 must be arranged. 

The documents must be sent in a envelope with the subject ‘claim for refund from IEPF Authority’. 

The company will verify the documents and submit the verification report to IEPF. 


IEPF will examine the completeness of documents and transfer the shares and refund amount electronically.
